Meanwhile, the latest update regarding Lisa's contract renewal is still YG Entertainment's statement on July 12th wherein they stated "It is because of the tour and personal schedules, and it has nothing to do with the contract status."

Korean netizens commented:

  • I guess I'm worried that the contract renewal won't happen.
  • I don't think it's time for Blackpink to disband just yet. They're popular, but will they do well without the name Blackpink?
  • YG seems like a dark company with a dark future haha. I don’t think a new female group will grow to the level of Blackpink, and Treasure is neither popular nor nonexistent, and I don’t know why it exists haha.
  • If Lisa is missing, they will lose 70% of Blackpink's combat power.
  • It's really strange that there's no news yet. If you look at the news, they say "A lot of labor is expected," but that seems to be exactly what they said.
  • I don't know yet, but it's strange. Even if the proclamation that "the contract renewal was completed" came out, it should have come out already.
  • The problem is that the only producer there have is Teddy.
  • If she doesn't renew her contract with YG, I don't think she'll be able to do it in Korea. Overseas markets have a lot of demand and will be treated well, so I think domestic agencies should start thinking about this in the future. In the case of Lisa, it would be too big to take her in Korea. It's a completely different case from Chinese members running to China like before. I think it will be a case of going out to the world market in Korea.
