KARD is back!
On May 23rd, KARD released their sixth mini-album "ICKY," together with the music video for the title track of the same name. It is the group's first comeback in about 11 months since the fifth mini-album "Re:" was released in June last year.
"ICKY" is a new album in which four members took the lead in the overall process of the album, starting with BM's self-written song and the creation of KARD's unique concept. In addition, the b-side track "CAKE" proved how the members' musical capabilities evolved as they all participated in writing the lyrics.
The title song of the same name, "ICKY," is written and composed by BM, while J.Seph was named one of the writers. The members' vocals are also the killing point with fresh beats. Even in the addictive chorus, you can see KARD's unique strong and dynamic charm.
KARD also expressed confidence in "ICKY" through an interview with Star News before the release of their new album. J.Seph even said that the new song "ICKY" is his favorite among KARD's seven-year activities. BM also said, "I thought I could do it really sexy, confidently, and make others feel our own vibe more than other songs."
In particular, the "ICKY" music video emphasized a dreamy atmosphere through the appearance of BM, J.Seph, and Jeon Somin wandering in a maze-like space, and Jeon Jiwoo in an unknown space filled with green liquid. It also creates a sensuous and speedy inner desire for freedom after what feels like a dead-end.
KARD's sixth mini-album "ICKY" was released on various online music sites at 6 p.m. on the 23rd.
