Girl group ILLIT will change its official fandom name once again.
The fan club name, which was released on April 21, was selected from various candidates gathered with the participation of the fans with the heart of wishing for eternal love with ILLIT, the agency Belift Lab said on ILLIT's official SNS on the 22nd. However, they decided to select the official fan club name again in consideration of various concerns raised after the disclosure.
"We will select ILLIT's new fan club name from among the existing final candidates without a re-publication process and inform you later," they said. "We apologize for causing confusion regarding the fan club decision."
ILLIT said earlier that its official fandom name was "Lilly." However, it was controversial because it had the same name as Lily, a member of girl group NMIXX.
What gained even more attention and trended on X (Twitter) is 'LILIES for LISA'. Although there's a spelling difference, LILIES are already well known and acknowledged to be Blackpink's Lisa's fandom name.
