Last September 28, 29, and 30, BLACKPINK's Lisa graced the Crazy Horse Stage in Paris with five exclusive performances. Her fellow BLACKPINK members and rumored boyfriend Frederic Arnault attended.
The performance drew negative reactions from the online community and was not well-received in China.
Following that, Lisa's Weibo account in China was reportedly banned and recently, CELINE and BVLGARI took down posts related to Lisa.
Meanwhile, international fans showed unwavering support to Lisa in an online platform, stating that even the CEO of LVMH attended her show, they commented:
- I don't know why you all are worried when the CEO of LVMH who owns the brands she’s working with, literally attended her Crazy Horse Paris show.
- China is still one of their biggest markets so I'm curious how everyone is going to play this.
- Lisa is not banned in China, only on Weibo since her account is controlled by YG
- For once, it's only in Weibo! Lisa is still CELINE and BVLGARI ambassador but these brands need to delete the ads and pics of Lisa in Weibo
- Celine China has to delete her from their account. That's what happens when China bans you, you don't exist.
- Who cares it's just one country, Lisa still is the global ambassador.
- Just one country? Bro, China has one of the largest consumer markets, so losing access to it can lead to a decrease in market share and revenue.
- Bvlgari and Celine were probably forced to delete posts related to Lisa since things like that are considered to cross the laws of China
- Lisa wasted all her achievements and her image and did not protect her family. Why work with people and places that do not even care if Lisa falls?
- Bro haters thought that Lisa was gonna be affected by this issue really badly lol. That's only China not world-wide
