Source Music Denies Drug-Related Rumors Targeting LE SSERAFIM's Kim Chaewon, Announces Date of Return

On October 26th, Source Music took to Weverse to announce that after her short break from activities, LE SSERAFIM's leader Kim Chaewon will return to promotions on November 1st. The agency said, "Kim Chaewon has been recovering from the aftereffects of the Type A Influenza since last week after taking a break. After receiving medical advice that she can attend schedules starting next week, she will return to schedules from Wednesday, November 1. We will continue to support artists so that they can meet their fans in a healthy way."

Earlier this month, LE SSERAFIM cancelled the Bangkok leg of their "Flame Rises" World Tour after members Kim Chaewon, Kazuha, and Huh Yunjin were diagnosed with Type A Influenza. Following this, on October 16th, Source Music announced that despite recovery, Kim Chaewon experienced persistent dizziness and received medical advice to take a period of rest. Because of this, it was decided that she will temporarily halt her schedules.

Meanwhile, according to Korean media outlets, the agency has also opened up about rumors alleging Kim Chaewon's involvement in the drug scandal that is currently causing a stir in the South Korean entertainment industry.

Source Music said, "Rumors related to LE SSERAFIM's Kim Chaewon are not true at all. She is recovering from the aftereffects of the flu."

Currently, suspicions are spreading that many famous celebrities are involved in the drug scandal that began with Actor Lee Sun Kyun, including an unnamed girl group member. There were also reports that the Incheon police has also recently booked global superstar G-Dragon on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act. With the scandal currently going viral, malicious rumors have become rampant.
