Group BTS's V wrote a new history of K-pop with his first solo album.
According to data released on the 15th by the domestic record sales website Hanteo Chart, V's solo album "Layover," which was released on the 8th, sold a total of 2,011,974 copies by the previous day, becoming a "double million seller."
As a result, V set a record for the first week of sales since the release of the album of a K-pop solo album. Both as a group (BTS) and as a soloist, he was also the first artist to exceed 2 million copies.
So far, only five solo artists have exceeded 1 million copies in the Hanteo Chart. V, Jimin (FACE / 1,454,223 photos) and Suga (D-DAY / 1,277,218 photos) ranked first to third. In particular, the three immediately became "million sellers" on the first day of the album's release, proving BTS's potential.
Meanwhile, V's solo album "Layover" means "transient," meaning it is a time to take a break in the middle, look back on the past, and reflect on the final destination. A total of six songs were included, including the title track "Slow Dancing."
