Kim Tae-Hyung (김태형), also known as V, is a South Korean singer and actor under Big Hit Entertainment. He rose to fame as one of the members of the worldwide sensation BTS.
When he was just fifteen years old, V accompanied his friend to audition at Big Hit Entertainment. He was only there to support his friend, but an executive noticed him and encouraged him to audition. Since V had no plans of auditioning, he had to call his parents to ask for permission. He ended up passing the audition and became an official trainee.
In 2013, V made his official debut with BTS and went on to become one of the most popular and loved artists of his generation.
Besides performing, V also took on acting projects. He debuted as an actor in late 2016 through the historical drama "Hwarang."
On September 8, 2023, V made his official solo debut with the mini album "Layover."
