Korea Forensic Service Rules Curse Word Not Uttered by ZB1's Kim Jiwoong in Fan Call

On the 17th, ZEROBASEONE Kim Jiwoong’s camp released a result that the swearing voice in the viral video that was spread on some social media and online communities was not Jiwoong.

Dispatch claimed to have gotten a copy of a voice analysis report issued by the Korea Forensic Service, which thoroughly examined a recording of a recent fan call between the ZEROBASEONE member and a fan.

In summary, here are the findings:

• The analyst checked pronunciation in two videos: fan upload (3 mins) and CCTV footage from the company.
• They detected three possible phrases: 1) "Thank you" 2) "Ssibal" 3) "either “strange” or “suspicious".
• No abnormalities in sound frequency from phrases 1 to 3.
• Found a difference in wave patterns of the audio between phrases 1 and 2. Came up with the conclusions:
  • Some type of editing was utilized to spotlight the pronunciation of phrase 2 and phrase 3, which were comparably clearer than phrase 1.
  • Phrase 2 is not spoken by the same person as phrase 1, unclear if the speaker of phrases 2 and 3 are the same or different from the speaker of phrase 1.
• A particular staff member denies Kim Jiwoong uttered any curse words during the happenings. "I exactly do not remember the fan call between Kim Jiwoong and the fan. But I am certain that he did not utter any curse words."
