RIIZE Drops First Mini Album and Title Track "Boom Boom Bass"

RIIZE is ready to keep on running!

"I had a debut showcase here last year, and I feel new. I'll show you how much I've grown."

The group RIIZE proved its growth at the press premiere of its first mini-album "FIIZING" held at Blue Square Master Card Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the 17th.

RIIZE stood tall as the fifth-generation boy group upon its debut in September last year. It made a big hit with its debut songs "Get A Guitar" and "Memories," before leaving behind big songs such as "Talk Saxy" and "Love 119".

RIIZE focused on growth just like the team name "Growing and Realizing Dreams." This album added weight to the keyword "growth" as it is the first mini album since debut. They added the word "ing," which is in progress, to the album's name. It expresses that they are constantly making efforts and growing.

Prior to the release of the album, RIIZE had a huge promotion by releasing five tracks. On April 29, it released "Siren," "Impossible," "Nine Days," "Honestly," and "One Kiss."

They also performed in music programs with "Impossible," a pop dance track with house beat. "It's meaningful because it's my first time trying house music. It was difficult when I learned house steps, but I practiced like a rising star and made it fascinating," Shotaro said.

In addition, eight songs are included, including the title track "Boom Boom Bass," the previously released "Talk Saxe," and "Love 119." As a result, the group expanded its scope of its own genre, "Emotional Pop," which expresses various emotions of its members.

"Boom Boom Base" is a song that shows the mature side of RIIZE. It has an impressive pop dance genre with funky disco beats and groovy bass lines. Through bass guitar performance, the song depicts the youth freely expressing their excitement towards each other.

The point choreography that expresses one's heart beating to the bass beat is impressive. Eunseok defined, "The keyword for this performance is moderation. If you have shown your free-spirited performance, you can show the sum of RIIZE this time." Even though they are in perfect group dance, they turn the mood around with a free-spirited performance at the outro. "There is a train game lined up at the outro. Fans will be very excited," Sohee said.

The fact that the writers of their debut song "Get a Guitar" participated in "Boom Boom Base" also draws attention. You will be able to feel the growth of RIIZE compared to when they made their debut. You will also see a different side where all the members perform in crop t-shirts. "I think it is an extension of Get a Guitar. If we showed our boyishness in "Get a Guitar," it will be more mature this time," said Won Bin. "Some members showed off their cropped t-shirts earlier, and this is the first time for me. I was a little pressured, but I'm glad that the fans liked it," Sohee said.

"When I heard this song at the end of last year, I thought, 'This is it'. I think this song is destined for us. I thought it was our style." Sohee said, "We tried to show the relationship and chemistry that everyone enjoys singing together."

The song is also unique in that it connects the narrative of RIIZE's instrument. "Get a Guitar" and "Talk Saxy" use guitar and saxophone, respectively. It wasn't intended from the beginning, but RIIZE's own "instrumental worldview" was created. "If there is another instrument next time, I want to use the violin that I personally like," Eunseok said.

RIIZE's dream, goal, and direction are "growth." The group who is gaining popularity at home and abroad due to their rapid growth said, "We continue to compete with the past. We are focusing on us, not comparing them to other artists." "We won the Rookie of the Year award last year, and we have set a goal to grow and work hard this year. We are just beginning, so please watch us grow," they said, emphasizing growth rather than growth.

They are experiencing growth with the fan concert tour "RIIZING DAY," which has been underway since May. Starting in Seoul, they are meeting with their fans in Tokyo, LA, Hong Kong, Taipei, Manila, Singapore, Bangkok, and Jakarta. Won Bin said, "As I stood on many stages during the fan concert, I think I gained stage manners and became better than before." Anton said, "I was on a fan concert tour, and I was curious about how we would look at the last concert. I think we have grown up compared to the past RIIZE."

RIIZE will perform in the finale of its fan concert tour at the KSPO DOME on Sept. 14-15. It is meaningful to enter the KSPO DOME on its first anniversary. "It was the stadium I dreamed of. I haven't been on stage yet, but it's amazing," said Sungchan.
