On May 2nd, an official from JYP Entertainment reportedly told My Daily Korea, "Dahyun has been cast in the independent feature film 'Sprint' and is preparing for filming."
This makes Dahyun the first TWICE member to debut as an actress since the group was launched in 2015.
Directed by Lee Seung Hoon, 'Sprint' is described as an independent feature film in the sports drama genre. The story is said to revolve around people who run tirelessly with impossible dreams in their hearts. Actors Ha Seok Jin (Blind) and Lee Shin Young (Rookie Cops) also star in the film.
Meanwhile, TWICE is set to make their comeback in Japan with their highly-awaited fifth full-length album 'DIVE' on July 17th.
