"NewJeans Never Die!" The Group Reassured Fans In Powerful Speech

The group made significant remarks in first public appearance since the group NewJeans sent a certificate of content to their agency, ADOR.

NewJeans won the Grand Artist Award at the 1st Korea Grand Music Awards (hereinafter referred to as KGMA) held at Inspire Arena in Unseo-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon on the afternoon of the 16th.

"It's been two years since we debuted. We've learned a lot from meeting so many people and going through so many things over the past two years," said NewJeans's Minji on stage.

"There were many fun things and things that were difficult for us to handle, but I think we were able to unite more firmly and become a good team through those problems," she said, indirectly referring to the conflict with the agency.

Minji, who thanked the staff, manager, and former CEO Min Hee-jin, said, "I was happy to have a good stage with the members today. Please look forward to and support NewJeans as we will continue to come back with good music and new appearances."

Hanni, who took over the microphone, said, "It's not empty words to say thank you to Bunnies (official fandom name)." In particular, she drew attention by saying, "I'm not sure how long we're going to be NewJeans, but I think it's important that there are the five of us and Bunnies, so I hope we stick together until the end."

Danielle also shouted, "Even if it's not NewJeans, NewJeans will never die."

There is speculation that the conflict with ADOR over the remarks that "even if it's not NewJeans" may have turned into an exclusive contract dispute and changed the group's name.

On this day's stage, NewJeans appeared trapped in a huge transparent structure and performed a performance that seemed to crave freedom with a serious expression.

Earlier on the 13th, NewJeans sent a proof of content to ADOR, saying, "If they do not accept the request to correct violations of the exclusive contract, we will terminate the exclusive contract." They reportedly took issue with the music industry report written inside HYBE, along with former CEO Min's request for the return to the representative position.

In response, ADOR said that it has received and is reviewing NewJeans' proof of content, and that it will "do its best to solve it wisely and continue to work with the artist."
