Former DAY6 member Jae (eaJ Park) recently expressed his thoughts on the controversy surrounding RIIZE, Seunghan, and the group's fans.
On the 17th, Jae quote-retweeted a fan on X (formerly Twitter), voicing out his criticism of RIIZE's fans who protested against Seunghan's return to the group. Jae wrote a reply to a fan who expressed their support for him even after the controversies that he went through when he was a K-pop idol himself.
Jae outright said that the wreath protest was "disgusting", and Those who sent wreaths will be the first to mourn the tragic outcome of the thing they fought for online.
And since he also experienced receiving backlash from his fans a few years ago, he added, God prevented the tragedy from happening, but I was on that side and close to it. I can't imagine how much trauma it must have caused to someone so young.
I think I’ve grown from my mistakes. At this point, if anyone doesn’t want to support me that’s up to them and their morality. I choose to no longer respond to projection https://t.co/Fdp8bxFe0g

Another fan replied to Jae, mentioning his previous issues and saying that he did not deserve the hate he got at that time, which is why fans are now calling out the protest activities about Seunghan's withdrawal. With this, Jae did not hold back and likened the fans' actions to 'attempted murder', because of the potential tragedies it might cause to the idol involved, reiterating that he is still very young and didn't deserve to get so much hate.
Anyone involved in the flowers should be tried for attempted murder because that is what that was.

Previously, SM Entertainment announced the return of RIIZE's Seunghan after almost a year of hiatus due to controversies over his private life before his debut. However, BRIIZE, the group's fandom, was split in half—some fans were celebrating Seunghan's return, while some were unhappy about it and preferred the group to stick with six members (OT6). Fans started sending protest trucks and funeral wreaths in front of SM Entertainment's building to show their disappointment with the news.
Just two days after Seunghan's return, he wrote a handwritten letter to fans expressing his decision to withdraw from RIIZE. SM Entertainment also officially announced his withdrawal from the group right after.
Following the backlash from OT6 BRIIZEs actions and SM Entertainment's decision, OT7 fans of RIIZE and even non-fans started showing protests against the unfair removal of Seunghan from the group. Fans expressed disappointment by boycotting RIIZE-related products, merchandise, and group activities. as well. Several global K-pop product suppliers have also come to support the cause and have halted their distribution of RIIZE albums and SM Entertainment merchandise.
We cannot, in good conscience, tolerate such injustice to happen and continue to patronize a company who so thoughtlessly treats their artists with little respect. The situation with RIIZE and Hong Seunghan is truly unnerving, and NCAT Philippines is joining in on efforts to…

we are around 50 countries united in the boycott, are we a weak fandom? we also spend our money, vote and stream, do we deserve to be ignored? seunghan deserves to come back and an apology 🧡 pic.twitter.com/kqxIE1mdEI

dont boycott only for seunghan, boycott for the rest of the members too. our boys have been separated and silenced only because their company failed to protect the 7 of them, so lets do this for our guys, boycott so all of them can be one again and be a happier version of riize.
