Fifth Generation Girl Group Faces Harsh “Reality Check” After Underwhelming Concert Ticket Sales

Reality checks are a must in a universe where virality thrives on dance challenges and killer collaborations. And sadly, the latest victim was KISS OF LIFE, a fifth-generation group made up of all adult members.

KISS OF LIFE has been doing pretty well riding the popularity of their latest single “Sticky.” With a string of smash singles under their belts, they were reportedly gearing up for their first world tour, “KISS ROAD,” for which the tickets are already flying off the shelves.

But just like that, a poor decision from the company sparked a controversy that was almost too predictable to unfold. The girl group faced a harsh reality check on September 22nd when a post titled “KISS OF LIFE’s Concert Is Empty” went viral on social media. The post featured an alleged seating chart for KISS OF LIFE’s Seoul concert, revealing plenty of empty seats and suggesting the show is far from sold out.

The author of the post goes on to write “They claimed in the media that they sold out all of their shows, but their Korean concert is going to be empty. They booked all of the venue’s halls thinking that “Sticky” alone would bring in seats, but I don’t think they even sold half the seats.”

Netizens quickly reacted to the post with their opinions, stating that booking such a large venue for a group that’s only a year old, and with a limited discography, might not have been the smartest move. A smaller venue for their first tour stop could have saved them some embarrassment.

What are your thoughts on KISS OF LIFE’S concert not getting sold out?
