Under the grand principle of "separation of management and production," all the concessions seem to have been made.
The internal feud between ADOR and Min Hee-jin, the former CEO of ADOR, over the management rights of ADOR, has entered a new phase with the proposal of a compromise. ADOR presented a compromise to former CEO Min Hee-jin, whose main point is to guarantee the activities of NewJeans for five years and re-elect her as an internal director to support it. ADOR maintained that returning to the CEO position was "unacceptable" according to the consistent principle of "separation of management and production."
The message delivered by ADOR in the afternoon of the 25th was both concise and clear. In the future, Min Hee-jin, former CEO of R&R was accurately presented as a "production responsibility", and the period was also announced as "five years" consistent with the remaining exclusive contract period of NewJeans, and the term of the executive director, which will expire in November as a "device" that guarantees it, will also be "re-elected" by holding an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders.
Former CEO Min Hee-jin also immediately responded to the proposal. While she "re-confirmed" the main contents of the proposal, including the re-election of an in-house director and a five-year production request proposal, she remained in a position to "strongly urge" her return to the CEO position.
In a detailed statement, former representative Min confirmed that she was re-appointed as an in-house director, which is the compromise with ADOR.
Regarding the re-election of the executive director, Min's side is aware of the convening of an extraordinary shareholders' meeting to take specific measures to implement it, but said, "It is not known whether Min Hee-jin, the former CEO, will be re-elected as an executive director at this time because it is decided by (ADOR) major shareholder HYBE." Regarding the five-year production request proposal, she stressed that there was no proposal for amendment, referring to "toxic clauses".
Meanwhile, both Min Hee-jin and ADOR are at opposite points whether she would return as CEO. ADOR is adhering to the principle of "separation of management and production," and former CEO Min is "strongly demanding the return to the CEO position" as a justification for the "normalization of the artists [NewJeans]' activities".
NewJeans agency ADOR's proposal for a compromise is in line with the surprise livestream of NewJeans on YouTube on the 11th. At that time, NewJeans demanded a return to the "old ADOR," where Min Hee-jin's return to the CEO's position was the main point, and the deadline for ADOR's response was the 25th of the month.
