Introduction

VIVIDIVA (비비디바) was a five-member girl group, with members Guu Me! (CherryBerry), Ha.L (Honey Apple), S ARA, SUN yul (Go Woon) and Sae YAN (Goeun). Set to be a seven-member girl group pre debut with N.Na (앤나) (Soojin) and KANA, who left pre debut. VIVIDIVA was under DN Entertainment. They debuted on September 15, 2015 at 4:00pm KST with the single "Service". On March 24, 2016, their agency announced through the group's fancafe that they had disbanded.

The group’s name VIVIDIVA was inspired by the popular song/spell in Disney’s version of Cinderella “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo”, The spell originating from hebrew meaning wishes come true. As VIVIDIVA like Cinderella will transform into something extravagant, charming, and wonderful. But the name is also a combination of the words ‘Vivid’ and ‘Diva’. The name meaning to be memorable and each girl having a unique charm.

In March 2014, DN Entertainment, started to hold auditions to form a new girl group. The group's concept being “theatre performance-type idol" and “communication idols” the idols would only be performing and communicating with fans at their own theatre daily like AKB48. VIVIDIVA being the first group in korea to attempt this. Their goal being to grow with their fans. The company not wanting VIVIDIVA to feel like a factory produced group, to overcome the limitations of debuting through media.

An official from DN Entertainment said, "Based on the value of 'I hope to remain as a vivid girl group by our side through performance and communication, which are the essence of a singer,' we decided to plan VIVIDIVA, a group that would perform every day in a small theatre and communicate with fans." He said, “VIVIDIVA, an idol that you can meet whenever you want and an idol that breathes and communicates with the audience, will come to you heralding the birth of a new idol.” (translated)

On January 15, 2015 VIVIDIVA’s first teaser was released, followed by individual teasers for each member at the theatre. Each member being revealed every week.

A few days later on January 27, 2015, DN Entertainment started selling tickets for their upcoming “VIVIDIVA Episode S” concert and debut showcase scheduled in March. But however, on February 16, 2015, DN Entertainment announced that the concert had been cancelled and the group’s debut would be delayed indefinitely.

After the announcement, starting in May, the group started promoting by busking (street performances) with their supposed debut song "Sunshine", broadcasting on AfreecaTV and posting dance covers on YouTube. Due to the director changing their concept.

Around June or July 2015, KANA and N.Na (Soojin) left the group. Most of the videos, photos and teasers featuring them were deleted or made private on their social media. Including all episodes of VIVATV which they performed challenges, roleplays and was used to introduce the members.

On September 15, 2015, VIVIDIVA made their debut and held their debut showcase as five members, with the digital single "Service". This was followed by their second digital single "VIVIDIVA Evolution 1" on October 30, 2015.

Continued to promote through various performing and broadcasting activities. And then finally on December 27, 2015, VIVIDIVA held their first solo concert at KT&G Sangsang Madang Live Hall.

On March 24, 2016, DN Entertainment announced through the group's fancafe that VIVIDIVA disbanded. Following this, a former staff member, Mr Gwaeng confirmed that DN Entertainment had closed down.
