Lee Min-ho

Introduction

Lee Min-ho is a prominent South Korean actor, singer, and model, under MYM Entertainment. He gained widespread recognition for his role as Gu Jun-pyo in the 2009 drama Boys Over Flowers, which earned him the Best New Actor – Television award at the 45th Baeksang Arts Awards. He has starred in several acclaimed television series, including City Hunter (2011), The Heirs (2013), The Legend of the Blue Sea (2016), and The King: Eternal Monarch (2020). His film credits include Gangnam Blues (2015) and Bounty Hunters (2016). In 2022, he took on a leading role in the Apple TV+ series Pachinko, based on the novel by Min Jin Lee.

Lee's success in television has solidified his status as a leading Hallyu star, making him one of the most followed South Korean actors on social media. He was the first Korean celebrity to have wax figures displayed at Madame Tussauds, with unveilings in Shanghai in 2013 and Hong Kong in 2014.

He began acting in his second year of high school and signed with Starhaus Entertainment in his senior year. Initially, he used the stage name "Lee Min," but later reverted to his real name due to difficulties in online searches.

In August 2006, Lee's career was interrupted by a serious car accident that resulted in the loss of two friends. He suffered severe injuries, including broken ribs and a fractured thigh. After several days in a coma and extensive treatment, he made a full recovery and returned to acting in 2007 with the lead role in Mackerel Run.

Lee made his singing debut on May 22, 2013, with the release of his album "My Everything". Through his talent and resilience, Lee Min-ho has become a beloved figure in the global entertainment industry, showcasing his versatility across various media.
