IVE Expressed Their Feelings On Their First Anniversary

IVE expressed their feelings on the first anniversary of their debut.

IVE, who appeared splendidly in the music industry with their debut album "ELEVEN" on December 1 last year, made 2022 the year of IVE, showing unbelievable performance as a first-year rookie.

Less than a year after their debut, IVE won 37 awards (including "Eleven" 13 awards, 10 awards for "Love Dive", and 14 awards for "After LIKE") and won 5 awards on MMA and MAMA, 2 Daesangs.

IVE's syndrome soon led to results. Their debut single, "Eleven," marked an unusual start, setting a record high of 150,000 copies in the beginning. The second single album "Love Dive," which was released after that, set an initial sales record of 190,000 copies and a total of 330,000 copies within two days of its release. With just two singles, IVE surpassed the 1 million sales record in six months, the fastest girl group in history, immediately recorded 920,000 copies in its third single album "After Like," achieving its own career high, and achieved more than 1 million sales even after the initial one week sales were completed.

They also set remarkable records on major music charts. IVE, which rose to the top three on major music charts through "Eleven," achieved its first No. 1 on the Melon daily chart with "Love Dive," and has since topped the daily charts on all music sites, showing good performance. The strength of IVE's music also led to "After Like." In addition to achieving "Perfect All Kill" on all streaming sites in Korea within 22 days of its release, "Eleven" and "Love Dive" also remained at the top of the list side by side, establishing themselves as strong charting songs.

IVE, a K-pop star and living legend that encompasses the world beyond Korea with their music, has revealed their answer to mark the first anniversary of their debut.

-It's your first anniversary of your debut on December 1, 2022, and the year is almost over. How do you feel about this year?


▲ Ahn Yujin: I think a lot has happened to IVE in the past year. It was a year where we were able to win the Rookie of the Year award, and I had a lot of dreams of winning the grand prize. Since it's our first anniversary, you've given us so much love, and I just want to repay you with better music and performances. So I'm looking forward to 2023 more and I hope it comes as soon as possible.

▲ Gaeul: I remember telling Dive (official fan club name) at the first music show since our debut, "I hope you continue to make good memories with us." I'm glad that I was able to keep that promise. I'm always thankful to our members who always cry and laugh together and depend on each other. I hope to make good memories with Dive next year by having fun and energetic activities like now.

▲ Rei: From 'Eleven' to 'After Like', I think IVE was able to grow like this thanks to Dive who has been showing a lot of love during this year. After debuting, I got a nickname, "Kongsooni," and it was fascinating to see my poses trending, and it was a year full of unforgettable memories and I'm grateful for every moment.

▲ Jang Won-young: When we made a comeback with "Love Dive" in April this year, I remember saying, "When I look back on this year, I hope I will be proud of this year," and I am very proud and happy that the wish has come true. The first year may not be a long time yet, but it was a big year because there were many happy moments with the members and Dive during that time. I want to show you how I improve day by day to repay your love.

▲ LIZ: First of all, thank you so much to Dive for being with us for a year. Through this year's "After Like" promotions, I think I learned something new about meeting and performing face-to-face with fans on music shows. It was the first time I had a chance to meet my fans in person in 2022, so it was a very precious year for me.
