Actress Jennie Is Coming! + First Look at Jennie's Character for "The Idol"

HBO MAX released the official trailer for "The Idol". You can catch Jennie's appearance at 0:27-0:28 and 0:34th mark.




On July 17th, after almost a month of speculations, it has been finally confirmed that Jennie will appear in the HBO drama series "The Idol".

During Canadian Singer The Weeknd's concert at Metlife Stadium, the trailer for the drama was shown and eagle-eyed fans were quick to recognize Jennie when she appeared on the screen for a second or two. Fans shared the discovery all over different social media platforms.

Jennie's appearance in the trailer confirms that she will indeed appear in the drama, however, details about her character is still being kept under wraps. YG Entertainment has yet to release an official statement as well.

"The Idol" is created by singer The Weeknd and Sam Levinson, who is known for directing the hit drama "Euphoria." It will star The Weeknd, Lily-Rose Depp, and Troye Sivan. The show is currently filming in Los Angeles.

Besides Jennie's acting debut, her group BLACKPINK is also gearing up for an August comeback.
