What an introduction!
On July 22nd, Hybe's sub-label ADOR made headlines upon revealing their first-ever girl group through a music video. Yes, you read that right, a music video. And along with the video, they also revealed the group's official name NewJeans!
Before NewJeans' name was revealed, they were first called as Min Hee Jin's girl group. Min Hee Jin is known for being SM Entertainment's former creative director who took part in conceptualizing and developing ideas for groups such as Red Velvet, EXO, F(X), SHINee, AND Girls Generation.
NewJeans is set to make their official debut on August 1, 2022 with a self-titled album with fours songs, three being the lead singles: "Attention", "Hype Boy", and "Cookie".
The group has five members and they will be officially introduced on July 23 together with the music video for the song "Hype Boy". For now, let's have a glimpse of the members through these teaser images.
