Rowoon and Park Eun Bin's Drama "The Kings Affection" Wins in the 2022 International Emmy Awards

"The King's Affection" won an International Emmy Award, setting the first Korean drama record!

During the 50th International Emmy Awards held in New York on November 21st (local time), the KBS 2TV drama "The King's Affection," also known as "Yeonmo," won in the Telenovela category. "The King's Affection" competed with "Nos Tempos Do Imperador" (Brazil), "Two Lives" (Spain), and "You Are My Hero" (China).

"The King's Affection," tells the story of a little girl who was forced to take her twin brother's place as the crown prince of their nation. Years later, Prince Lee Hwi (played by Park Eunbin) tries to hide her secret amidst political struggles. However, everything changes when she meets her newest tutor, Jung Ji Un (played by SF9's Rowoon).

Besides Park Eunbin and Rowoon, the cast includes Nam Yoon Su (Today's Webtoon), former IOI and DIA's Jung Chaeyeon, Victon's Byungchan, and Bae Yoon Kyung (Unicorn).

"The King's Affection" became a hit in South Korea, with the highest viewer rating of 12.1%. It was released worldwide through Netflix, proving the global popularity of K-historical dramas by ranking first in 12 countries and fourth in the world. In addition, the drama was recognized at the 17th Seoul Drama Awards held in September, winning the International Competition Writer Award (writer Han Hee-Jung) and the 49th Korea Broadcasting Awards for Best Actor (Park Eun-bin).
