On the 11th, it was confirmed that Exy of WJSN will join the cast lineup for the upcoming film, "Eighteen Youth." The said film stars actress Jeon Somin and Weki Meki's Doyeon.
Starship Entertainment said, "Chu Sojung (a.k.a Exy) will appear in the 'Eighteen Youth.' Give lots of affection and interest to Chu Sojung, who will come to the screen as an actress."
The film follows the story of Heejoo, a unique teacher well-liked by students but disliked by fellow teachers, and Soonjung, an 18-year-old high school student whose eccentric homeroom teacher is annoying. It is based on the coming-of-age novel 'Your Presence at 18' depicting teenagers struggling with their presence.
Exy plays Kyung-hee, an honor student with a perfectionist side who questions Heejoo's disruption of the existing order but reveals a range of emotions in her interactions with other characters.
In 2015, she made her acting debut with a minor role in 'The Flatterer.' In 2021, she returned to the screen with a supporting role in 'Idol: The Coup.'
'Eighteen Youth' will show in 2024.
