Introduction

WJSN (also known as Cosmic Girls) is a ten-member South Korean-Chinese girl group formed by Starship Entertainment and Yue Hua Entertainment. WJSN stands for the four subunits Wonder, Joy, Sweet, and Natural. They debuted on February 25, 2016, with their first mini-album "Would You Like?".

On January 11, 2017, Starship announced WJSN's official fandom name "Ujung".

WJSN originally debuted as a twelve-member group, but in 2017, IOI's Yeonjung joined them as their main vocalist for their first comeback "The Secret".

The group debuted their first sub-unit, WJSN CHOCOME, on October 7, 2020, with their first single album "Hmph!". The members of this unit are Soobin, Luda, Yeoreum, and Dayoung. They made their first comeback on January 5, 2022, with the single album "Super Yuppers!".

Their second unit, WJSN THE BLACK with members SeolA, Bona, EXY, and Eunseo, debuted on May 12, 2021, with the single album "My Attitude".

On March 3, 2023, Starship announced that members SeolA, Bona, EXY, Soobin, Eunseo, Yeoreum, Dayoung, and Yeonjung have renewed their contracts with the agency and that members Luda and Dawon decided to leave the agency following the end of their exclusive contracts after deciding not to renew. In addition, the contracts of the members Xuan Yi, Cheng Xiao, and Mei Qi, which were shared with Yue Hua Entertainment, were automatically terminated. It was clarified by the agency that Luda and Dawon will remain part of WJSN.
