On December 15th, aespa's Karina attended the first half of the 2023 Music Bank Global Festival in Seoul together with her group aespa, and impressed fans with the performance of their newest song, "Drama." Karina, together with member Winter, also had a special stage where they collaborated with labelmates RIIZE's Wonbin and Shotaro. Naturally, the idol garnered immense praise for her visuals and outstanding skills.

However, by the end of the show, while the idol groups were taking turns bowing to the crowd, Karina captured the hearts of netizens when she was spotted reaching out to (G)I-DLE's Yuqi and Miyeon, inviting the two of them to join aespa as they bow to the crowd, hand in hand.

Yuqi and Miyeon were the only members of (G)I-DLE to attend the event after their group performance was cancelled at the last minute, following Shuhua and Minnie's suspension of activities due to falling ill. It is also said that leader Soyeon has been in poor health for a while.
