ADOR, the agency of the group NewJeans, announced a hard response to malicious comments.
On the 5th, ADOR said through the fan communication application Phoning, "In our efforts to encourage active communication between NewJeans and their fans, we have previously allowed unrestricted live comments for everyone. However, due to the presence of malicious comments, the plan ahead is to limit the live comment feature exclusively to subscribed members."
"Please be assured that we are consistently taking legal measures against any acts of defamation, insult and spreading false information leading to reputational damage. This includes both previous and future occurrences of malicious comments," the agency added.
Earlier, members Minji and Hyein had some time to communicate with their fans while hosting a live broadcast. During the broadcast, Hyein saw a malicious comment and looked shocked, expressing, "What is this? This is so mean." and "I saw a shocking comment earlier. I tried to capture it, but I couldn't. So mean."
Minji, who was right next to Hyein, reassured her by taking a screenshot and saying, "I captured it. Don't worry about it".
Minji took a screenshot of a hateful comment aimed at Hyein to report to Ador. It's disheartening that people are spreading hate in their private space that’s for their bunnies . I hope Hyein is doing okay.

Meanwhile, regarding malicious comments and false information that erupted mainly online last year, ADOR said, "We will continue to take legal action against acts such as malicious slander, dissemination of false information, and defamation related to NewsJeans and our content. Under no circumstances will there be any agreement or leniency."
