BTS J-Hope's solo digital single "on the street" topped the iTunes "Top Song" chart in 80 countries around the world, its agency Big Hit Music announced on the 4th.
The song reached the top of the "Top Song" charts in Canada, Italy, and Sweden as of 9 a.m. on the same day.
In addition, shortly after its release, the music video was ranked at the top of YouTube's popular video charts in several countries, including Mexico, the United States, the Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, and Denmark. As of 4 p.m., the music video had about 8 million views.
J-Hope expressed the message that he wanted to give hope and joy through the song, which he collaborated with his favorite rapper and producer J. Cole. He participated in planning the music video and performance production as well as writing and composing.
