At the media day for the '2023 MAMA AWARDS' held in Seoul's Gangnam district at 10:30 AM KST on the 8th, clues about the third performing artist and collaboration combination participating in this year's ceremony were revealed.
Lee Young-ji and some members of LE SSERAFIM, ZEROBASEONE, and TREASURE will appear on the collaboration 'Theme Stage.'
On the 'Mega Stage', host JEON SOMI will perform a large-scale techtonic performance on the first day. Another artist's 'Mega Stage' version was also announced.
There will also be a collaboration called 'Super Stage' between members of K-pop's popular girl groups and 'Swoopa' crew leaders. The performance is based on the theme of 'reinterpretation of the goddess,' and shows the members transforming into female characters from mythology. It aims to challenge prejudice and redefine the performers' identities. The collaboration features LE SSERAFIM's HUH YUNJIN, Kep1er Xiaoting, (G)I-DLE Minnie, and SWF Monika and Bada Lee.
'Wonder Stage' is a unique collaboration between globally renowned K-pop artists, resulting in a performance that transcends boundaries of region, language, genre, and generation. Yoshiki of X Japan, a legendary artist who has sold out 18 concerts at Tokyo Dome and more than 30 million albums worldwide, joins the K-pop artists on stage to perform X Japan's famous song 'Endless Rain.’
In addition, a group will reveal the stage of a new song for the first time, and the active main characters this year will perform on the scene.
Actor Park Bo-gum and singer JEON SOMI will host the two-day '2023 MAMA Awards' at Tokyo Dome in Japan on the 28th and 29th.
