According to Korean media outlets, BIGBANG's G-Dragon has been booked on drug charges.
On the 25th, News1 exclusively reported, “The Incheon Police Agency booked G-Dragon without detention on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.”
(Booking is the process of entering information about a criminal suspect into the system of a police station or jail following their arrest.)
According to the report, "After booking Lee Sun-kyun, the police conducted a mandatory investigation, identified G-Dragon, and are continuing the investigation after booking him."
The police added, “As this is an ongoing investigation, we cannot reveal specific details.”
The police are investigating eight individuals concerning the Lee Sun-kyun case. As part of an internal investigation before being officially charged, details regarding the people being investigated for Lee Sun-kyun's alleged drug use are being revealed one by one, and the impact of this investigation is growing.
In May 2011, G-Dragon was found to have smoked marijuana while in Japan. As a result, it came back positive. Although he was found guilty of smoking marijuana, the prosecution decided to suspend the indictment. This was because G-Dragon was a first-time offender and did not consume a significant amount of marijuana.
