Kingdom Changes Team Name

The official name of the group "Kingdom" will be changed to "The KingDom."

According to its agency GF Entertainment on the 4th, Kingdom will promote as The KingDom from its new album, which will be released on the 30th. The KingDom's new comeback is in about six months since its seventh mini album, "History of Kingdom: Part 7. Jahan," which was released in October last year.

In particular, as they wrapped up the journey of Chapter 1 "History of Kingdom," which consists of a total of seven episodes, with the end of the previous album, they will open the second chapter with this new album.

Even though the agency hasn't explained the reason, many netizens think that it's because of the names of the shows "Kingdom" and Mnet's survival "Kingdom: Legendary War" that the group didn't appear on Google or Naver.

Kingdom made its debut back in 2021. It ranked first in five Amazon Music charts in the U.S. and entered the top 10 of the Billboard chart's "World Digital Song Sales" for three consecutive years.
