BLACKPINK's Jisoo Opens Up About Being Popular in High School

BLACKPINK's Jisoo said she realized her popularity when she was in high school.

On January 5th, Jisoo appeared as the first guest on Hyeri's new Youtube show "Hyeri's Club." In the episode, the BLACKPINK member had the opportunity to talk about her friendship with Hyeri and answer burning questions from fans.

In particular, a fan pointed out Jisoo's breathtaking visuals by playfully asking, "Since when were you that pretty?"

The question made Jisoo look back at her days as a student. She happily recalled, "I didn't know I was pretty. I only heard that I was popular when I got to high school. Until I was in middle school, I thought I wasn't popular."

"Maybe you just didn't know?" Hyeri replied, emphasizing, "Something like 'Everyone likes me but I don't know about it?'"

Jisoo shared, "When I was in middle school, my hair looked like triangle gimbap," seemingly pointing out her viral yearbook pre-debut photo.

The hairstyle made Hyeri reminisce of her own experience, saying, "Huh? Me too!" Both of them then agreeing, "Everyone had triangle gimbal hair back then."

Jisoo continued her story, explaining, "When I was in high school, that’s when I thought I was popular because there were bread and drinks on my desk when I arrived at school. It was on my desk. There were letters."

Meanwhile, as for the present Jisoo, it is rumored she will be carrying out her solo activities under her own label "Blissoo" after leaving YG Entertainment, her agency for over ten years. Moreover, it is said that the label operates under the "Biomom" which is her older brother's company.

Although nothing has been confirmed, fans are looking forward to Jisoo's new beginning as a soloist.
