Chuu Has a Final Win Against Former Agency Blockberry Creative

Chuu , a former member of the group Loona, won a lawsuit against her former agency to invalidate her exclusive contract.

According to Newsis, the Supreme Court's 3rd Division (Chief Justice Roh Jung-hee) confirmed the original trial, which ruled in favor of the plaintiff, on the 27th in the appeal of the lawsuit filed by Chuu against her former agency Blockberry Creative (hereinafter referred to as Blockberry), as a dismissal of the trial non-continuance.

Chuu posted on this day "If you don't want to lose, you have to continue until you win."

The dismissal of non-continuance of the hearing is a system that does not accept the appeal without hearing the main case unless there is a specific reason such as illegality in the judgment of the court below in the appeal excluding criminal cases.

Chuu filed a lawsuit in December 2021 after being in conflict with Blockberry over issues such as profit settlement. The court cited some of Chuu's injunction applications filed with the main lawsuit in March 2022, and both the first and second trials also ruled in favor of Chuu. Blockberry showed its willingness to continue the legal fight by appealing. However, Chuu also won the case at the Supreme Court ruling and concluded the lawsuit.

Earlier, Chuu filed a lawsuit, and the other members of LOONA, Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsol and Choerry, also filed an exclusive contract lawsuit. The lawsuit was filed by the court in March 2023, and the court declared the verdict without pleading due to Blockberry's stage response, but the court belatedly responded, and later began its first argument in December 2023. The members were able to leave Blockberry and their contract was invalidated.

However, the LOONA members are still working together. The four members who filed the lawsuit settled in their agency Mod House and started anew with the group Artemis. The former LOONA member HaSeul joined the group and formed a five-member group.

Chuu has built a new nest in ATRP, which was newly established by Kim Jinmi, a former CEO of WM Entertainment, who discovered and planned and produced B1A4, Oh My Girl, and ONF. The singer released her second mini-album "Strawberry Rush" on the 25th and is currently promoting.
