Kep1er Shines in "Shooting Star" M/V

Kep1er has released their first full length album!

On June 3rd, Kep1er released their album "Kep1going On" and title track "Shooting Star" and held a showcase to celebrate the release.

"Since last year, we have talked a lot about the future of our team. We have spent 2 years and 5 months together since "Girls Planet" and we wanted to keep doing it because our fans gave us a lot of love. It's even more precious because it's our first and last full-length album as the nine of us." (Choi Yu-jin)

This album is the first full-length album and the last full-length album in Korea as a whole group of nine members.

Before the album's release, Kang Ye-seo shed tears at a showcase held at Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, saying, "I want you to know that we are always '9 sisters.'

Forever nine!

Kang Ye-seo and Mashiro will leave the team after promoting the album. Mashiro said, "The nine members made many good memories while promoting under the name Kep1er. I want to show better performances this time."

This album is the first album in nine months since the release of the fifth mini album "Magic Hour" in September last year. The title of the album means that we will commemorate the time that Kep1er and fans have spent together and run toward our dreams.

The title track "Shooting Star" is a synth pop with impressive rhythmic drumming, emotional synth lines, and electric guitar. They expressed their sincere heart for Kep1er. It is an extension of Kep1er's storytelling represented by "The Planet" and "Galileo." With the dynamic development of the song, the emotional line intensifies toward the second half.

The song is so comforting!

Kim Da-yeon tried to make a rap with the song for the first time. She said, "I worked harder because it contains our story. Thank you, member Hikaru, for your great performance."

There are many choreography that expresses light and stars according to the team's world view. Kim Chae-hyun introduced, "The point is repetitive lyrics and hand gestures to the melody."

In particular, this album is the last album in which nine members are all together. Kep1er became the first Mnet project group to renew their contract and will continue to work with seven members. Mashiro and Kang Ye-seo will not join the team after "Kep1going On" and a concert in Japan next month.

Kep1er was formed through Mnet's "Girls' Planet 999" in 2021. With its debut song "WADADA," it topped the ground wave for the first time in 12 days, and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of Japan for the shortest time in K-pop girl group history at the time.

With its first Japanese fan concert "FLY-HIGH," which opened in March, it has attracted more than 30,000 viewers. On March 8, Japan released its first full-length album "Kep1going."

Their goal is to gain a clear impression in Korea through this promotion. "I want to show better performance. My goal is to be in the top 100 of Melon's music charts," Yujin stressed.

Kep1er's detailed plans for future activities will be outlined after the Japanese concert.
