BLACKPINK Jennie's "Mantra" Deemed Unfit for KBS Broadcast

BLACKPINK Jennie's "Mantra" Deemed Unfit for KBS Broadcast

BLACKPINK's Jennie's new song "Mantra" has been declared ineligible for KBS broadcasting.

According to the KBS song review results on the 23rd, "Mantra" will be judged ineligible for broadcasting as lyrics that violate Article 46 (restrictions on advertising effects) of the broadcasting review regulations, such as referring to specific product brands in some lyrics.

If the broadcasting is judged to be ineligible, the problem part can be corrected or deleted and the song can be resubmitted again. If the qualification judgment is not received in the deliberation, it cannot be broadcast on KBS programs.

Previously, BLACKPINK's "Pink Venom" in 2022 was also judged ineligible because certain product brands were mentioned in the lyrics in KBS's self-deliberation. At that time, YG Entertainment, the agency, did not revise the lyrics separately, gave up appearing on KBS, and was excluded from the KBS2 "Music Bank" ranking.

As a result of the KBS song review, in addition to Jennie's "Mantra," NCT Jaehyun's "Unconditional" was also judged to be ineligible for broadcasting by referring to a specific product brand.

Meanwhile, "Mantra" is Jennie's first solo new song released about a year after her release in October last year, and it is an intense and energetic song that supports everyone to shine in their own way and confidently create their own charm.
