BLACKPINK's Jennie To Take Legal Action Against Impersonator

BLACKPINK's Jennie has warned of legal action against illegal publications and fake news impersonating her father.

Jennie's personal agency, OA Entertainment, said in a press release on the 6th that "illegal production publications and fake news containing false facts impersonating the artist's father have been circulating continuously," adding, "This is a clear false fact and clearly has nothing to do with the artist."

"Please pay attention to the purchase of illegal production publications and take special care not to suffer damage in this regard," they said. "We are taking legal measures such as criminal complaints on the grounds of defamation and obstruction of business by spreading false information through the law firm."

"We are taking legal action against malicious posting writers, including defamation, sexual harassment, and malicious slander by spreading false information about artists," Jennie said. "Since such an act is a clear crime, we will continue to take strong legal action without leniency based on the evidence collected."


Recently, rumors spread online that Jennie's biological father published an novel, drawing attention to its authenticity, now the agency has confirmed that it isn't her real father.

Jennie recently finished filming JTBC's entertainment show "My Name is Gabriel".
