VCHA is a five-member global girl group under JYP Entertainment. Originally six, the group was formed through the survival show "A2K," in collaboration with Republic Records. The group's name means "illuminate" in English, symbolizing their mission to bring light to the world and their fans amidst darkness. They are expected to promote in both the United States and South Korea.
The group released their pre-debut single, "SeVit (NEW LIGHT)," on September 22nd, 2023, and made their official debut on January 26, 2024, with the single album "Girls of the Year."
However, on March 11, it was announced that Kaylee would be on hiatus due to a health condition, until further notice. Later, on December 7th, JYP Entertainment announced KG's departure from the group following her lawsuit against the company.
