Introduction

DK, formerly known as Donghyuk, is the main dancer, vocalist, sub-rapper, choreographer and producer of boygroup iKON. He studied in Atlanta, Georgia as an exchange student. When he lived in America, his name was Ezra Christian Daniel Kim. He was recruited by SM Entertainment first, then recruited on the street by JYP Entertainment and he won first place at the 9th JYP Open Audition (2012).

Days later he received a call from YG Entertainment for private casting. He originally auditioned as a rapper and passed that audition as well, joining YG Entertainment. He participated as a trainee in the survival program WIN: Who is Next in 2013 as a member of Team B and later participated again in "Mix and Match" being the last member selected to join iKON.

DK is regarded as the smartest member of the group, so smart that even his peers questioned why he chose to be an idol. Apart from this, DK is one of the English speakers of the Group. He is a big fan of artists like BIGBANG and Michael Jackson, from whom he got his first inspiration to dance. DK has been involved in collaborations on all of his bandmate Bobby's albums. They have also created unreleased songs.

His first solo song "Kiss Me" was released on iKON's 3rd album 'Take Off'.

In 2024 he released his first full solo album called NAKSEO, being credited in the lyrics, composition and arrangement of all songs.
