Introduction

Son Young-jae (손영재), known as his stage name Eric, is the lead dancer, rapper, and maknae of The Boyz under IST Entertainment. Although Eric was born on South Korea, he grew up in Los Angeles, California which made him fluent in speaking English.

He debuted as a member of THE BOYZ on December 6, 2017 with the lead single "Boy" from their debut EP The First.

On March 4, 2022, IST Entertainment announced that Eric won't be participating in any activities for the time being due to health issues.

On September 16th, 2022, IST Entertainment announced that Eric would return to promoting with THE BOYZ for the next album promotions.
