Jang Hyeri formerly known as Ji In is a South Korean trot singer and actress under Big Daddy Entertainment. She was a member and Main Vocalist of the South Korean pop girl group Girl's Day under DreamT Entertainment, a member, Lead Vocalist, and Basist of the South Korean pop-rock band Bebop under HMI Entertainment, and a solo singer under Will Entertainment.
In 2004, She won 8th place in the SM Youth Best Contest hosted by SM Entertainment.
Jang Hyeri originally debuted in the South Korean pop girl group Girl's Day under DreamT Entertainment as an original member and Main Vocalist with their debut single "Tilt My Head" on the 7th of July 2010 under the stage name Ji In. However, only two months after their debut, on September 12, 2010, it was announced that she and fellow member Jisun had left the group. Her reason was that she wanted to concentrate on her acting and solo singing career but also due to issues in her personal life.
On the 26th of December 2012, Jang Hyeri along with another former Girl's Day member Jihae, released the duet song "Loving Day" through YouTube.
In October 2013, she was revealed as the Bassist and Lead Vocalist of the South Korean pop-rock band Bebop under HMI Entertainment as she was spotted playing in the group at a club performance. Then later on the 14th of February 2014 she officially re-debuted in Bebop with their debut mini-album "Between Calm and Passion" continuing under the stage name Ji In. On the 18th of October 2015, she announced her departure from Bebop due to health problems.
On the 20th of March 2018, she released her Chinese solo debut single, "Really Like You" under the name Zhi Ren.
On the 6th of April 2018, she appeared on an episode of I Can See Your Voice 5 on the show it was revealed that she took numerous part-time jobs following her departure from Girl's Day but was still pursuing a career in acting as well as singing.
On the 9th of April 2018, it was announced that Jang Hyeri had joined a new agency Will Entertainment. On the 5th of September 2019, she released her Korean solo debut single "난" still under the stage name Ji In.
On the 17th of July 2020, it was announced that she had signed a contract with Big Daddy Entertainment. She made her official debut as a trot singer on the 6th of August 2020 with the single "서방님" under the new stage name Jang Hyeri. In an interview with OSEN, she explained that she changed her stage name as she wanted to make a fresh start with her new career as a trot singer. The name was also given to her by her current CEO as it was the first name he chose and thought it suited her as well as naming her after her senior, Jang Hyeri. On the 2nd of November 2020, she discussed her story in the industry on YouTube.
