L (엘; also known by his full name Kim Myung Soo) is a South Korean singer and actor under Look Media. He is the lead vocalist and visual of the boy group INFINITE. He is also a member of the group's sub-unit INFINITE F along with Sung Yeol and Sung Jong in 2014.
On February 3, 2021, he made his solo debut with his first single album "Memory".
2010: Debut with INFINITE
He made his debut as a member of INFINITE with the release of their first mini album First Invasion on June 9, 2010.
2011: Debut as an actor
He debuted as an actor in 2011 in Japanese drama, Jiu, and continued his acting career in few dramas such as Shut Up Flower Boy Band, Master of The Sun and My Lovely Girl.
2019-2020: Departure from Woollim Entertainment, signing with Management 2sang
On August 19, 2019, Woollim Entertainment announced L's departure from the agency following the expiration of his contract and decided not to renew, although he will continue his activites as a member of INFINITE with Woollim.
Following his departure from Woollim Entertainment Management 2sang responded to reports of L signing with them, although nothing had been confirmed at the time. Then in 2020, Management 2sang announced that L officially signed with them.
2021: Solo debut
On February 3, 2021, he made his solo debut with his first single album "Memory".
2023: New agency, Japanese debut
On March 7, 2023, Look Media announced that Kim Myung Soo had signed on with the agency.
On October 13, it was announced through Kim Myung Soo's Japanese Twitter that he would make his Japanese debut with the single "Moments" on November 15.
Personal life
Military enlistment
On December 28, 2020, it was announced that Kim Myung Soo would be enlisting to the marine corps by the end of February in 2021.
He enlisted on February 22, 2021. On September 23, it was announced that he was casted in the military musical Blue Helmet : A Song of Meissa. He was discharged on August 21, 2022.
