I-LAND 2
I-LAND 2, also known as I-LAND 2 N/a, is an ongoing reality survival show created by Mnet. It is a sequel to I-LAND, which produced the boy group ENHYPEN. It premiered on April 18, 2024 and will follow the process of creating a new girl group. The show is a collaboration between WAKEONE and producer Teddy Park and his company, The Black Label and it aims to create an "iconic" girl group.
It consists of 24 contestants who will compete to debut in the final group. It has a premise similar to the first season with the "I-LAND" and the "Ground". The contestants fight for their position in the "I-LAND" which has all the facilities which will help them debut while the contestants who remain in the "Ground" or the contestants who are unable to make it to the "I-LAND" will soon get eliminated and only the contestants in the "I-LAND" can debut.
The show also has a fictional AI character called "NaSURI" who is a baby fox who is born from the energy of "Meatball" and will support the contestants throughout the show. "Meatball" is a special energy found in the second season of the show.

Episode: 1
In the first episode, the 24 contestants are revealed and made to go through an "entry test" which they have to pass to enter the "I-LAND" similar to the first season, but if they are unable to the clear it they have to move to the "Ground." Unfortunately, only 12 out of the 24 contestants can enter the "I-LAND" while the remaining 12 move into the "Ground."
The 24 contestants worked in groups to perform recent hit songs like "After Like" by IVE, "Unforgiven" by LE SSERAFIM, "Sweet Venom" by ENHYPEN, "Cake" by ITZY, "Baggy Jeans" by NCT U and "Drama" by aespa which was used by the producers as material to evaluate the contestants. The 5 producers (Taeyang, LeeJung, Monika, 24 and VVN) participated in voting after evaluating the conetestants and the contestants needed atleast 3 out of 5 votes for them to move to the "I-LAND"
In the end of the episode, the "I-LAND" and "Ground" both have 12 contestants and the episode ends with a clip of the next mission which is the "Signal Song Test."

The 24 contestants from both the "I-LAND" & the "Ground" perform the show's signal song titled "Final Love Song". The contestants from the "I-LAND" & the "Ground" perform separately with the "I-LAND" contestants going first. A selected number of contestants have to move out from the "I-LAND" while the same number of "Grounders" will come in their place.
While performing the signal song the leaders are tasked with distributing the parts. The "I-LANDERS" are desparate to stay in the "I-LAND" while the "Grounders" are in dire need of gaining entrance to the "I-LAND". Amidst the part distribution and practice the contestants face many difficulties. The contestants are given a week's time to practice the song. The contestants struggle to secure their place in the "I-LAND" with some contestants suffering from health issues and injuries a well.
But sadly, not all of them receive good news as a few "I-LANDERS" are sent to the ground through the voting process while others are happy to either stay in the "I-LAND" or because they got promoted.
The episode ends with a teaser of the next episode (third episode). The "seesaw battle is revealed" where both the "Grounders" & "I-LANDERS" are split into 2 groups (with total of 4 groups) & the "I-LANDER" groups have to compete with each other and similarly for the "Grounder" teams. The winning team of the "I-LANDERS" stays in the "I-LAND" while the losing team will have to move out of the "I-LAND". Similarly the winning "Grounder" team will enter the "I-LAND" while 2 members of the "Grounders" losing team will be eliminated
