On July 26th, TWICE released the official album cover for their eleventh mini album "Between 1&2". In the photo, the members sported different looks and hairstyles which fired up the fans' anticipation even more. The album's design also evoked nostalgia among fans as the cover's color schemes held resemblance and subtle references to their past mini albums.

Besides the album cover, TWICE also shared its tracklist, revealing that the album will contain seven songs, with "Talk That Talk" serving as the title track. According to the tracklist shared by the group, the members took part in preparing the songs such as Dahyun writing the lyrics for "Gone" and "When We Were Kids", Chaeyoung on "Basics", and Jihyo for "Trouble" which she also composed.
