On November 21st, Korean media outlets reported that Red Velvet's maknae Yeri had confirmed her appearance in WhyNot Media's new OTT web drama, "Cheongdam International School" (tentative title).
In the web drama, Yeri will play the role of Baek Jena, a third-generation chaebol and the golden spoon of Cheongdam International High School. She is expected to show a strong performance while adding fun to the tension-filled psychological warfare by monitoring Kim Hyein (Lee Eun-Sam), an unprivileged transfer student who witnesses a murder case.
"Cheongdam International High School" is expected to show a wide acting spectrum by challenging a more mature and intense image transformation from a lovely and innocent-faced Yeri.
Since 2015, Yeri has been loved by fans for her lovely and refreshing charms through Red Velvet's activities. She made her acting debut in 2021 through the special one episode "Drama Stage Season 4: Mint Condition," followed by web drama "Blue Birthday."
