A Korean fan recently shared photos and details from WJSN's latest fanmeeting called "Codename:Ujung Fancon" and said, "I don't think WJSN will renew."
"The weather has been cold since the beginning of the year, so thank you very much for coming. We also seem to be receiving a lot of good energy while performing for the first time in a while. It was so nice to be together for the first time in a long time. Thank you for making our youth shine," said Bona during the event.
The same Korean fan explained, "I'm a fan of WJSN. I had too many thoughts at the fancon. During the event, everyone was crying and the members kept talking about their youth."
They added, "In the first half of 2023, Bona, Yeoreum, and Luda's dramas will come out. Exy, SeolA, and Soobin also appear in variety shows. I also see Yeonjung often because she is doing a musical. I'm happy that most of them are busy, but I also want them to renew their contract."
The post became a hot topic among fellow fans, who commented:
- I went there yesterday and the members kept talking in past tense. We kept correcting them and it was so painful.
- The seven-year curse is scary.
- I'm not a fan of Cosmic Girls, but there are quite a few members who have done well individually, so it's good to continue to support them.
- The Cosmic Girls members are so pretty.
- Their last song was "Last Sequence." You can already feel that they won't renew just by looking at the title.
- Where were the people who said Starship kept pushing WJSN too much???
- I hope the members who can act will continue to act.
- I had lots of good memories with fellow fans. Seeing the members shed tears made me tear up too.
- Starship, you have other idols aside from IVE.
- I'm sorry.
- Cosmic Girls, please don't disband!
- Honestly, they're done for. They have to part ways, and there's nothing we can do anymore.
- From a fan's point of view, this is the most anxious and difficult time. I'm not a fan of WJSN, but I'm cheering for them.
- At least they lasted for 7 years.
- Actually, there was already a bit of an error from the very start. Starship planned to capture both Korea and China.
- It seems unavoidable. First of all, since their junior group has become a mega hit, it is much more beneficial for the agency to go all-in on that side.
- Starship also disbanded Sistar, and focused on WJSN for years.
- Cosmic Girls plays a lot of attention to their songs. I'm a fan of a more famous group, but I can say that Cosmic Girls always drops the best songs.
