On July 24th, Mnet released a video announcing the collaboration with famed YG Producer and The BLACK LABEL founder Teddy for the upcoming second season of the survival show I-LAND.
According to the announcement, Teddy will serve as a master producer who will help the contestants take a step toward their dreams of debuting. Regarding this, Mnet said, "As the first step in the differentiated planning of 'I-LAND 2.' Teddy, the general producer of The Black Label, will be with us. We will make a fresh attempt to break the mold for the debut of a new global girl group in 2024 and strive to establish a new landscape for 'K-POP.'
Moreover, according to reports, the girl group formed through "I-LAND 2" will be active under CJ ENM's affiliated label, WAKEONE.
"I-LAND 2" is a project that captures the process of creating what Mnet calls 'The Biggest Kpop Girl Group of 2024.' They already began accepting applicants worldwide starting July 10th, and it will end on August 6th.
