"It's Difficult to Confirm" — WAKEONE Responds to Reports About Jo Yuri Joining the Cast of "Squid Game 2"

On June 23rd, Korean media outlets surprised fans when they reported that former IZ*ONE member Jo Yuri was cast in the highly-anticipated second season of the hit Netflix drama "Squid Game 2." Other media outlets also relayed that the singer-actress auditioned for the role.

Later on the same day, Jo Yuri's agency, WAKEONE, released an official statement saying, "We ask for your understanding that it is difficult to confirm."

Meanwhile, Netflix responded to the reports, saying, "Please understand that it is difficult to confirm her appearance."

Last week, idol-turned-actor Im Siwan, Kang Ha Neul, Park Sung Hoon, and Yang Dong Geun were revealed as the new "players" of the drama, raising anticipation even more. Attention is focused on whether Cho Yu-ri will also leap forward as a global actress through this work.
