On March 14th, Korean media outlets reported that Minhyuk will be the second member of MONSTA X to enlistment in the military. The idol first broke the news to fans on March 13th through MONSTA X's official fancafe, where he said, "I don't think I'll be able to see you often for a very short while for my military duty on April 4th."

Minhyuk will be enlisting as an active duty soldier on April 4th. Meanwhile, fellow MONSTA X member Shownu will be discharged from the military on April 21st.
