Kep1er Reportedly Extending Contracts

According to SPOTV News coverage on the 22nd, it was reported that WAKEONE recently met with the representative management of the Kep1er members to discuss extending project activities.

An agency official said, "We met with all Kep1er members' agencies and exchanged opinions on future activities. As most of the agencies agree with the extension's purpose, it is expected that there will be additional discussions during the remaining period."

Agency WAKEONE told SPOTV News, "As the Kep1er Project is halfway through, it is correct that we preemptively held a meeting to establish a roadmap and strategy for the artist's long-term activities and made the same proposal to all agencies. However, all agencies agreed. We did our best for this, but there was no coordination this time. We still have a period of activity left, so we will continue to discuss with each other,"

During the agency meeting, positive signals were confirmed regarding a contract extension. If Kep1er confirms this in the future, it will be the first project group formed through an audition program to renew contracts for all members.

Kep1er is a girl group chosen as a debut group through Mnet's Girls Planet 999 program. The survival show documented girls' journey from Korea, Japan, and China, striving to become a K-pop girl group. Kep1er officially debuted on January 3, 2022, and has been actively promoted in Korea and Japan. They are set to release their fifth mini-album, 'Magic Hour', on the 25th and will continue with their activities.
