On September 22nd, Renta shared heartfelt letters through his Instagram account, announcing his departure from the boy group TO1. The Japanese rapper said, "Recently, I've been thinking about what to do in the future, and I've talked a lot about it with my family, members and everyone in the company. I thought a lot about it. After much discussion and consideration, I've finished my activities as TO1 Renta and decided to support each other for the future so that we can move forward in a better direction."
Renta went on to say, "I came to Korea because I wanted to become an idol in Korea, and I was really happy to have various experiences and achieve my dream by debuting and working as TO1. I was so happy because it felt like it was my destiny to debut."
Moreover, Renta promised fans, "I will work hard to come back in a better form someday."
Renta, together with Daigo, and Yeojeong, joined TO1 in June 2022, following the departure of Minsu, Jerome, and Woonggi. With Renta's withdrawal, TO1 will continue to promote as an eight-member boy group.
