On April 15, NCT’s Taeyong bid his family, co-NCT members, and fans farewell as he enlisted in the military.
A day before his enlistment, he shared some pictures of his fresh, new look.
He also posted pictures with co-NCT members and friends with the caption, “I’ll be back safely. Be healthy! Let’s go! Our 127! I love you 💚
The NCT 127 official Instagram account also shared more pictures.
On the messaging platform ‘Bubble’, Taeyong reveals that his members shaved his head, "The members cut the hair. Jungwoo was the starter, but he cut it too short. I wanted to try being a skinhead. It's quite hip."
He also shared a witty comment, "This is my head that I saw for the first time since I was born. Hey, why do you look like this?"
The NCT 127 leader also expressed gratitude to his fans, “Every moment was a truly meaningful and happy time.”
He further said, "There are many things I want to achieve in the future, so I will work hard during my military service and learn many things. I will become a better person and stand on stage."
Taeyong is the first NCT member to enter the military. He enlisted on April 15 and will be discharged on December 14, 2025.
