On August 3rd, rookie girl group UNIS performed at the 2024 Midsummer Night's Cultural Festival: Mini K-POP Concert in Haenam, South Korea. During the event, attendees and fans tuning in were alarmed after member Kotoko collapsed while performing on stage.
Shortly after, UNIS' agency, F&F Entertainment, released an official statement about the incident. "The artist was immediately taken to the hospital for examination and is currently in stable condition at the hospital," adding "We apologize for any inconvenience caused to fans, and we will do our best to prioritize the artist's condition."
Following this, fans appeal to the public not to spread videos and photos of the incident out of respect to the young idol. In addition, some have also raised concern for the members' health due to the group's schedule.
UNIS is set to make a comeback on August 6th with their 1st single album Curious. It is also rumored that the girl group will attend the 2024 Idol Star Athletics Championship, which will take place on this same month.
