Lee Hongki Indirectly Talks About Minhwan's Issue, Says "It's so unfair"

Lee Hongki, the leader and vocalist of FT Island, indirectly shared his thoughts on the recent controversy surrounding fellow member Choi Minhwan.

On November 2, FT Island performed at the 'Grand Mint Festival 2024' at the Seoul Olympic Park. As announced, the band's drummer Choi Minhwan did not attend the concert after the recent controversies he has been involved with. Only the two members of FT Island played for the fans — Lee Hongki on the vocals and Lee Jaejin on the bass.

Previously, Choi Minhwan has been swept up in prostitution and adult entertainment rumors after his ex-wife Yulhee exposed him through a tell-all on her YouTube channel. After the issue broke out, FT Island's agency, FNC Entertainment, immediately announced that Minhwan would temporarily halt all his entertainment activities.

The band proceeded with the live performance without any special mention of Minhwan, but at the end of the concert, Lee Hongki shared a bit of his feelings regarding the controversy by saying, It's so f*cking unfair and I feel like the f*cking world is being unfair to me... but I will continue to make music until I die.

The crowd responded to Hongki's emotional words by turning on their phone flashlights to cheer harder for the two-man band on stage. However, netizens who knew about Hongki's words at the concert took it negatively and once again expressed their dislike towards the idol.
